Frequently Asked Coatings Questions

Polyaspartic coatings like Floor Shields' cure thin, allowing better retention of the concrete's texture than thicker epoxies. To increase your flooring's anti-slip protection, we can add extra anti-slip additives as well, but for maximum slip resistance, we recommend using a coating system with added texture- our flake and quartz systems are both ideal!

That depends on how many layers are involved in the process. Our systems are multi-layered, and each layer takes time (usually 1-2 hours) to cure before the next one can be added. Our floors can often be ready for move-in within 5-6 hours, but if you want a more exact time estimation, ask our technicians for a personalized quote!
